About Us
The Swiss Union of Jewish Students (SUJS) is the umbrella organization representing Jewish students and young adults aged 18‑35 across Switzerland. Founded in 1948 and based in Zurich, SUJS is a member of both the European Union of Jewish Students (EUJS) and the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS).
Our Mission
- Create connections between jewish students and foster involvement in the community
- Represent Jewish students and young adults at universities and at the federal level.
- Empower future political and community leaders
- Prevent antisemitism through politics, dialogue, education, and interfaith initiatives.
- Promote Jewish and secular education: shiurim, lectures, language and skills training.
Main Activities
SUJS coordinates a wide range of events and initiatives across Switzerland:
- Networking events connecting students and professionals in economy & politics annually.
- Shabbaton (Basel, Bern, Lausanne, Zurich, ...).
- Participation in international events
